Good things to know before you get started!!!!

Everybody can do this, and all levels will benefit!!


This is a series of 26 beginner level postures.  This powerful series, is done in an exact order to systematically work every system in your body.  Inside and Out!!!  Everything from chronic pain to diabetes, and more will improve!!!  With the same postures you gain confidence, allowing yourself to gauge your progress, as well as find more stillness as you become more familiar with the postures.  Gaining trust in the process comes, as you practice more consistently.  Tremendous focus is placed on doing things the "right way" to the point that your body is ready.  Rather than changing what is considered the medicine, give yourself patience to let your body change with the posture.  Doing 5% of the posture, the right way you get all the benefit!!!  

Wear something light and comfortable.  Most women prefer wearing fitted spandex or running shorts,  jogging bra, workout shirt, or fitted tank tops.  For men, we recommend swimming trunks or shorts.  

Bring a bottle of water, a mat, and 2 full-size towels ( one for yoga and one for shower)

The room is heated.  The instructor closely monitors the heat and humidity.  Remember that in the process of changing our physical body and mind, you will naturally feel uncomfortable at some point in class.  Please do your best and take care of yourself.  
This is not a gym exercise, this is a series of classical Hatha yoga postures that will, not only change how your body looks and feel, but how it works as well!
Treat the study of these postures as if you were learning to walk.  You are taking baby steps.  Hatha yoga is based on discipline, please attempt postures as they are described, trying them to the best of your ability.  In this way, you will receive the most benefit!  Have faith in the process.  As you improve and practice consistently, you are guaranteed to see steady improvement.  Have fun!!

Advice
  • Avoid eating a few hours before class
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to your first class
  • Doors close and lock when class starts
  • Some days you may not prefer attending class, these are the days that yoga will benefit you the most!!
